Our Pigs

Our Heritage breed Tamworth pigs are raised on pasture until ready for the table.

Moved weekly, these pigs spend their lives doing what pigs love to do - eating grass/bugs/worms (basically anything they can find in their temporary paddock), rooting around, enjoying their wallows and playing.

Our pigs are born and raised entirely on our farm and help us regenerate degraded pasture by removing troublesome weeds like blackberries and serrated tussock from our farm.

The Tamworth breed is considered quite distant genetically from commercial swine and is an excellent breed for regenerative practices as they're active, sociable pigs that do well on forage.

This breed, in combination with our farming practices, produces excellent pork with a more flavoursome softer fat and great crackling.

Bulk Program (Wholes & Halves)

Our bulk program means you can buy a whole or half pig at wholesale prices and is aimed at small to large families and groups of friends. Typically, a small family of 4x will devour a half pig in about 3-4x months.

We vacuum seal and pack each cut to maximise freshness, quality and shelf life. Vacuum sealed pork should last at least 1-year when frozen, meaning you don’t need to worry about running out of time to eat your way through your purchase.

We’ve developed a standard cut list (see below) based on what we believe will suit the widest range of people and provide best value for money. Not exactly the cuts you want? No problem! We also offer custom butchering (or tweaks to our standard cut list).

Our Standard Cut List for a HALF PIG:

🐖 2x Shoulder Roasts (approx. 2kg*)

🐖 2x Leg Roasts (approx. 4kg*)

🐖 1x Belly (approx. 3kg*)

🐖 1x Rack of American Ribs (approx. 1kg*)

🐖 Steaks (Chops/Cutlets) (approx. 2kg*)

🐖 Pork Mince (approx. 4kg*)

🐖 Pork Sausages (Gluten Free and Preservative Free) (approx. 4kg*)

Optional Extras Include:

🐖 Bones - Great for dogs, soup and bone broths

🐖 Fat - Render this down to make cooking fat

🐖 Skin - Perfect for crackling snacks!

🐖 Trotters - Dogs love these

🐖 Kidney - Healthy and delicious, offal is regaining its popularity as a highly nutritious and tasty meat

🐖 Head - Sounds gory, but the head has plenty of great uses. From the dog treats made from pig ears, to the tongue (a delicacy), to the making of terrine (otherwise known as “Head Cheese”)

*All weights are approximate and are based off a 60kg (dressed weight) pig. These weights will vary with cut selection and from pig to pig.
