Farm Wide Update: All Things Hillside! 🌱

Major Milestone Alert πŸŽ‰ Full Time Farmer Liz πŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎ

Liz is now officially full-time Farmer Liz! It feels surreal. The vision we’ve had for years, of dedicating every hour to building our dream farm, is coming to life. While we're celebrating this leap, we acknowledge there's still a long path to tread before we reach our dream farm. Liz has already hit the ground running, prepping us for the upcoming warmer season.

Spring's Bittersweet Arrival 🌱

Speaking of warmth, weren't we all yearning for Spring? Winter gave us the chills, but Spring promises new beginnings.

However, new beginnings sometimes come with challenges. We faced a heart-wrenching setback when Daisy, our house cow, suffered from Milk Fever. Despite our round-the-clock care, she left us. It felt like losing a family member, especially with the anticipation of her milk production. The silver lining? Missy, her calf. Though initially elusive, Liz showcased her natural farming instinct by catching Missy out in the paddocks, ensuring we could get her to a safer spot where we could care for her.

A Growing Farm Family & Expanding Horizons πŸ–πŸ„

In more positive news, the farm's been buzzing with the patter of tiny trotters! Our pig family is growing. We've welcomed several litters of piglets, and there's more to come. But with growth comes responsibility. We're expanding our infrastructure, ensuring our young ones are separated from breeders post-weaning, especially after spotting a not-so-little one sneaking in some milk! Talk about being a chunky opportunist. πŸ˜‰

Our bovine family is expanding too. Thanks to Ragnar, our diligent (and tiny) bull, we've welcomed three more calves, bringing our tally to eight.

New Products on the Shelf! 🎁🎁

With Liz taking the reins full-time, we're brewing some new ventures. Keep an eye out, folks – we might just be setting up a stall in your local Sydney market soon! While we're still contemplating the product offerings, you’ll certainly be able to purchase in smaller quantities. Our bulk buys will likely remain website exclusives.
